Established in 1983 by 2 families, Ray and Janet Webster and Frank and June Hanwell (Ray and Frank hence R & F). We first started in manufacturing shoes ourselves after many years working for a large shoe manufacturing company.

Shoe manufacturing in the UK dwindled dramatically in the late 80’s and the early 90’s and in 1997 we switched to retailing shoes from our factory shop in Northampton. Since then we have grown quickly and we now have 6 outlets across the country. (Please check our list of shops to see addresses and opening hours etc)

Our object is to buy quality good fitting footwear for our customers and sell at factory prices (typically 20 - 30% off recommended retail prices).

We do this by mainly buying direct from the factories which mainly come from Italy, Turkey and Spain therefore cutting out the middleman and passing the savings on to our customers.
